The crypto markets entered 2022 on a euphoric high, with Bitcoin booming towards the end of 2021. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse as the world looked to bounce back from the crippling impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The crypto markets had to endure an unfavorable tightening of monetary policy that turned the market on its head, giving rise to a crippling bear market. There were also sell-offs, implosions, and bankruptcy of some of the industry’s biggest and most well-known projects and protocols, leaving the space reeling.
